Valve announced yesterday that games distributed through their game service Steam will now have support for the classic game controllers released by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
This means that it will be possible to play PC games with controllers originally developed for consoles such as the NES, SNES, Nintendo64 and Sega Mega Drive. Nintendo released the classic NES and SNES controllers to Nintendo Online players in 2018, and last year also released versions of game controllers originally released for the Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive.
It should be noted that in order to purchase Nintendo’s classic game controllers, you must have a subscription to Nintendo’s game service Nintendo Online.
