Perhaps. There’s no denying that users of the deck are actually Steam users as well. There’s also no denying the deck is a hit. But I don’t think on the scale that you think. Linux topped a shocking 1.3% in the December hardware survey, with no distribution exceeding 0.2%. Though in terms of “simultaneous activity” I’d probably give the deck a good shot, especially if there’s the family/living room (where there’s no PC connected to the TV, like mine) is the place to play, or also: in bed , I think that, strictly speaking, despite all the success, the Deck doesn’t stand a chance when you look at the question: “did it mean anything significant to 10 million concurrent users”? I think there is low meaning in this. Most sat comfortably on the sofa watching their TV-Steam setup or behind their desktop gaming PC everywhere.
I myself was sitting on the couch, XBox controller in hand, playing Witcher3. PlateUp for a while with friends! done (recommended). And I run Windows 11, only on a desktop PC.
If I get a deck (actually, even if I’m interested, I don’t think it’s at the level I want yet, especially in terms of screen), I’ll continue to mostly play remotely on that PC. By offering my own cloud gaming service.
