Steam Deck console pre-order is a huge success

The gaming market got richer with the official announcement of Steam Deck, Valve’s new video game console. The reaction from consumers was very positive and the equipment aroused a lot of interest, especially from gamers.

And it looks like this console has everything going for it because, according to the recently revealed data, the Steam Deck pre-order is being a huge success!

The official announcement of the portable Steam Deck console happened yesterday at the hands of the creator Valve. And the pre-order phase began this Friday, the 16th of July.

One of the highlights of this console is the fact that it can run great AAA titles through a custom APU (CPU with integrated GPU) from AMD. It will feature 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and will be available in three different versions. The simplest 64 GB model will cost €419; the 256 GB will be priced at €549; and the top of the range with 512 GB will cost €679.

Apart from that, the gameplay process will be extremely simple. This is because the player can take the console anywhere, turn it on, log in and start playing!

Steam Deck Pre-Orders is a hit

For now, no information has been released on how many units of the Steam Deck console Valve has already sold. However, it is known that a huge amount of pre-orders have already been made to the company that owns the Steam gaming platform.

In addition, Valve's servers were clogged up with the large amount of access to reserve the console. Some users also complained of problems and error messages during the process. And these problems are appearing both on the Valve website and on the Steam store.

In another situation, despite the fact that it is an account that is more than 10 years old, the system responded with an error saying that the account was too recent for the reserve operation. Possibly this is a strategy of the brand to avoid massive purchases for later resale.

However, Valve has already added the information that the delivery of the two most expensive models should only take place in the first quarter of 2022. And this is another detail that clearly shows that there is an expectation of many orders.

It is likely that in the coming days there will be concrete information about how many copies of the Steam Deck have already been pre-ordered.
