During a visit to the emergency room of the “San Maurizio” hospital, this SP – 28 year old from Bolzano with multiple criminal convictions for various crimes including attempted murder, currently under house arrest –taking advantage of a moment in which the health workers needed to be absent, thought well of steal the prescription pad of the doctor who was examining him.

The latter, thanks to the testimonies collected, were able to reconstruct the dynamics of what happened: when the patient asked to use the toilet, the doctor left the surgery for a moment to consult with a colleague, while the nurse she had gone to have the blood tubes analyzed.
Upon the patient’s return from the toilet to the doctor’s office, the patient, taking advantage of the temporary absence of both the doctor and the nurse, sat down behind the doctor’s desk and began rummaging through the prescription book, taking out some individual prescriptions.
Thanks to the timely return of the nurse, the criminal was discovered and stopped, and the prescription book – from which SP had already removed the staples and divided it into two halves, before throwing it to the ground hoping not to have been noticed – was recovered.
Conducted to the Police Offices, SP came reported to the Judicial Authority for the crime of theft, aggravated of having committed it during the period in which he was subjected to an alternative measure to detention in prison, such as he house arrest.
Furthermore, the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters reported the incident to the Public Prosecutor for the purposes of replacement of house arrest with the detention in prison.
