Steals the doctor’s prescription pad during a visit to the emergency room: 28-year-old (under house arrest for attempted murder) blocked by the police

BOLZANO. Steal the doctor’s prescription book during the visit to Emergency room. It happened in Bolzano, at the “San Maurizio” hospital and he ended up in trouble a 28-year-old with multiple criminal convictions for various crimes including attempted murder, currently under house arrest.

THE EPISODE
The man had gone to the emergency room for checks. At one point he asked to use the toilet. The doctor had left the surgery for a moment to consult with a colleague, while the nurse had gone to have the blood tubes analyzed.

Upon the patient’s return from the toilet to the doctor’s office, taking advantage of the temporary absence of both the doctor and the nurse, he sat down behind the doctor’s desk and started rummaging through the prescription book, taking out some individual prescriptions.

However, the gesture did not escape the notice of the nurse who had just taken his blood, who, having noticed what was happening, immediately stopped the man and asked for help from colleagues and agents on duty at the Office of State Police located inside the hospital.

The latter, thanks to the testimonies collected, were able to reconstruct the entire story. The criminal was stopped and the recipe book – from which the 28-year-old had already removed the staples and divided it into two halves, before throwing it to the ground hoping not to have been noticed, was recovered.

The 28 year old was reported, aggravated by the fact that he committed it during the period in which he was subjected to an alternative measure to detention in prison, such as house arrest. Furthermore, the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters reported the incident to the public prosecutor for the purpose of replacing house arrest with detention in prison.

The police commissioner issued, towards the young man, the personal prevention measure of the oral public safety notice, provided for by the Code of Anti-Mafia Laws.
