A man with the initials DA (24) was arrested by police after stealing a car from a hotel visitor in Parung area, Bogor. The perpetrator acted when the victim was unconscious in the hotel room because she suspected she was drunk.
“A perpetrator of theft who acted in Transit Hotel area, Parung subdistrict, Bogor Regency was successfully arrested. The perpetrator had the initials DAP (24),” Parung Police Chief Kompol Sularso said in his statement. statement, Sunday (11/12 /2022) evening.
Sularso said the theft occurred at the hotel area in Parung, Regency area Bogor Saturday (10/12/2022) evening. The DAP perpetrator, Sularso said, took the victim’s car keys when the victim was unconscious due to intoxication.
“In carrying out the action, the perpetrator managed to take the victim’s car using the original car key. Previously, the perpetrator took the victim’s car key to an unopened hotel room and the victim was allegedly drunk,” Sularso explained.
The theft, Sularso continued, was only discovered by the victim in the morning or on Sunday (11/12). That morning, the victim reported to the Parung Police.
“The theft of a New Camry car affecting a hotel visitor occurred when the victim was staying overnight and only found her car missing the morning after she woke up. The victim made a police report that morning” Sularso said.
The police, who moved quickly, managed to secure the District Attorney in the area Bogor in less than 24 hours. DA is currently being investigated by the Parung Police, while his partner has been declared a fugitive and is wanted by the police.
“Currently the perpetrators are still under further investigation with the Parung Police. Meanwhile, another perpetrator is still being prosecuted,” concluded Sularso.
