Like at home! A well-organized team stole the rear wheel of a C7 Corvette in the middle of the day. Parked in a parking lot, the owner of the vehicle was not present. A nasty surprise awaits him on his return when he has to start the engine. Luckily, a Tesla camera captured it all. Evidence that could allow the investigators to track down the thieves behind the wheel!

Generally, we observe this type of scene in two cases. In the pit lane, during a car race, during a tire change. But also at the side of the road after a sting. In an empty parking lot Texasseveral men aboard a Dodge Battery charger came down, to steal the wheel of a Corvette C7 parked next to them. The images clearly show two hooded men installing the jack and loosening the wheel bolts. After a few seconds, the alarm system of the vehicle it’s active and the emergency lights come on. Then a third man discreetly gets out to grab the steering wheel and throw it in the trunk.

Efficient, fast, these thieves’ work will take less than a minute. The three men stowed their gear in the trunk and hurried to catch up with a fourth offender driving the Dodge Charger. But the police Southlake released these images and hopes to find these “thieves”. With the license plate visible from the vehicle and from silhouettes of the three men, one the investigation is ongoing to shed light on this theft. The wheel of the Chevy is estimated at $700 (about 670 euros). Case to follow!
