STB ARCHIVES: The Brno Goose on a String Theater was created at the end of the seventies. Since 1972, it has become the home stage for, for example, Jiří Pecha, Boleslav Polívka, Karel Heřmánek or Miroslav Donutil.
Of course, Communist intelligence knew about the theater. But she didn’t have as much information as she needed. Therefore, she spent a long time thinking about how to remedy the situation. In the end, she chose the simplest solution. She looked at the woman she put on the actor. Specifically, Miroslav Donutil. However, the person in question was also supposed to provide information about František Kocourka, a strong actor and a long-time wrestler of the local Zbrojovka.
At the beginning there was a word again, this time written. The goal of cooperation with “Milada” was to penetrate a specific environment. “Especially for the area of theatrical, liberal professions and to pass on to the StB knowledge of the character of right-wing persons working in cultural institutions that have a connection to the field of theater,” reads the proposal from September 11, 1975.
The future tasks of “Milady” were also clearly given.
In the first place was contact with Brno theater people. The secret police wanted to know their opinions, but also the way in which theater plays with different pseudonyms penetrate the scene. The second task was to reveal if the artists were not preparing “abuse of cultural programs organized during state anniversaries and thus carrying out ideological diversion,” according to an archive document studied by PrahaIN.cz.
The aforementioned Milada was then twenty-five-year-old Hana Militská. She worked in the field. According to other documents, she talked about cooperation with StB. If she was aware of exactly who she was shaking hands with, the documents do not reveal. However, they reveal why representatives of the hardline regime approached her. In addition to her friendly and friendly nature, it was her alleged appetite for men.

However, it turned out to be very vague in the end. Although “Milada” reported, it was more like slander. At certain moments, individual testimonies seem to us like the words of a disgraced woman.

That’s why he leans on his father. He also realizes that due to his health he cannot play anywhere outside of Brno. He makes himself important, but no one takes him seriously,” she told the authorities about the future member of the National Theatre’s drama team.
