Statistics: More than 4000 children visit Bottrop daycare centers

As of March 1, 2021, the state statistical office IT.NRW counted 59 day care centers in Bottrop. The number continues to rise and new buildings are planned.

The number of day-care centers is increasing across the country in line with the needs of families – including in Bottrop. This is now shown by the statisticians from the State Office for Information and Technology (IT.NRW). According to this, as of March 1, 2021, there were 59 day-care centers for children in the city – four more than in the previous year. And that is by no means the end of the day-care center expansion in Bottrop.

So are in the registration portal Kita-Online currently a total of 61 day care centers are listed, with the Evangelische day care center in Grafenwald being listed with the addition: “Not opening at the start of the new day care center year 2022”.

But first, back to the statistics from IT.NRW. According to this, as of March 1, 2021, a total of 4064 daycare children were being cared for in Bottrop, 381 more than in the previous year (plus 10.3 percent). There were a total of 897 employees (up 10.7 percent), including 668 specialist teachers (up 6.4 percent).
