A car collided with a stationary car at the Esso gas station along the A2 motorway near Liempde at the end of the afternoon on Saturday. The impact pushed the other car into one of the pumps.
At least two people were injured by flying parts of the cars and pump. It is not known how serious they are. No fire has started.
According to a spokesperson for the fire service, the car that had collided with another car had driven too fast into the site of the gas station.
The collisions happened at half past five at the Esso gas station Ooiendonk Oost. Ambulance, fire brigade and many police cars came to the report. The fire brigade was called in because diesel had leaked. Firefighters also assisted ambulance workers in treating the injured.
