Adriana Vargas, a primary school teacher at Edomex, says that she is willing to return, but at the campus where she works, the parents decided not to. “Most of the parents did not want to and prefer to end up online because they say that there are no hygiene measures, even if it was to be cleaned,” says the 35-year-old teacher.
The teacher agrees that, although she is excited to return and feels safe with her vaccine – which was administered on May 15 – it was better to have started the following school year in person. “Finally, the students are already used to a schedule and organization, in addition to the fact that they will return in a staggered manner and only for two or three hours,” he says.
This is how they decided to do it at least in Chihuahua and Oaxaca, to mention some of the 13 entities that chose to return until the next school year. Added to these are Baja California Sur, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Sonora, Tabasco, Tlaxcala and Yucatán.
