“I do not accept that in a state there is no continuity”, emphasized the Regional Governor of Epirus, Mr. Alexandros Kahrimanis, answering journalists’ questions about the future of the Ionian Road – Preveza and Preveza – Igoumenitsa (Mesopotamos – Loutsa) road axes.
The Regional Governor explained that for the two road axes, which like Ioannina – Kakavia had remained stagnant for too many years, there were agreements with the previous political leadership of the Ministry. In this context – he continued – the road junctions are being built through the Recovery Fund and “what has been heard in the last few days causes discomfort” by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, (who is expected next week in Ioannina to clarify all the issues that have arisen).
The Regional Governor, answering a question about the road axis Ioannina-Kakavia, emphasized that the financing of the project is guaranteed. “Each project at the beginning we put in National resources and then as soon as the NSRF is opened it is transferred there”, he explained.
