Statement to the population of GUIAD-COVID-19

The Uruguayan Interdisciplinary Data Analysis Group (GUIAD-COVID-19) is a group of researchers in virology, immunology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics, mathematics, physics, ecology, molecular biology, sociology, data science, bioethics , and professionals from community medicine, epidemiology, intensive medicine, internal medicine, infectious diseases, engineering and informatics. Since the arrival of the pandemic, we have proposed to contribute to the mitigation of the impact of COVID-19 from the analysis of data related to this disease, the constant review of the literature, and the dissemination of knowledge. At this time we feel the ethical commitment to express to the public opinion of Uruguay our alarm about the situation our country is going through in relation to the pandemic.
