Visser (VVD) has undergone a corona test because of minor cold complaints and has tested positive. “I feel good, but of course it means that I go into home isolation,” she writes on Twitter. “Stay alert, stay at home as much as possible and above all stay safe.”

Visser was not present at the weekly council of ministers on Friday. However, she has been in contact with Minister Ank Bijleveld (also Defense) in recent days, says a spokesman. That contact would have been at least five feet away and Visser had no complaints at the time.
The State Secretary is the first cabinet member to be tested positive. Previously, Minister Slob of Education, Minister Hoekstra of Finance and Minister Kaag of Foreign Affairs were quarantined as a precaution, but they turned out not to be infected.
