The NS has made “a very bad turn”. That is what State Secretary Heijnen of Infrastructure says about the train failure from yesterday.
The state secretary calls the way in which the carrier dealt with the disruption “really below par”, and she wants to know from the management how this came about.
“I want to hear from the NS exactly why all train traffic has been shut down and why no replacement transport has been arranged.” According to Heijnen, travelers also received little information.
Train traffic was shut down for most of the day yesterday due to a technical failure. The NS said that it was not possible to use alternative transport, such as buses, due to the magnitude of the disruption.
