Design is playing an increasingly important role in socio-political, cultural and economic contexts. The State Prize for Design raises awareness of the relevance of design and strengthens Austria as a business location. The award is advertised every two years by the Federal Ministry for Digitization and Business Location and carried out by designaustria. The prizes and awards go to designers as well as their clients.
A jury of experts selected 27 innovative and future-oriented projects in the product design | categories Consumer goods, product design | Capital goods, spatial design and design concepts from a total of 279 submissions. Their common denominator is groundbreaking progressiveness, social relevance and sustainability as essential issues of our time. The exhibition presents the award-winning projects that offer added value in both social and ecological terms.
