State of SP reaches a new record in vaccination with 717.3 thousand daily doses applied

The goal is to immunize the entire adult population with at least the first dose by Monday (16)

The Government of São Paulo reached a new record in the application of daily doses of vaccine against COVID-19. The mark was reached this Friday (13), with 717.3 thousand doses applied in 645 municipalities. The pace of vaccination continues to accelerate and the State’s goal is to protect the entire adult population with at least one dose until Monday (16).

According to data available on the platform Vacina Já, were applied last Friday (13) 452,037 vaccines in the first dose, 261,494 in the second dose and 3,782 single doses.

Until 7:50 am this Sunday (15), 43,731,623 doses had been applied in the state of São Paulo, and 90.52% of the population over 18 years of age was immunized with at least one dose of the vaccine against COVID-19. In addition, 27.76% of the general population of the state are already with the complete vaccination schedule, that is, they have taken two doses or received a single dose vaccine.

After successive advances from the PEI (State Immunization Plan) schedule, the vaccination campaign continues apace. The forecast is that from August 18, the immunization of young people aged between 12 and 17 years will begin, starting with those with disabilities, comorbidities, pregnant women and postpartum women. By the first half of September, the entire public in this age group should already be vaccinated with at least one dose of the vaccine.
