He State of Mexico will have its own Metro transportation system and the details will be announced in the coming days by Governor Delfina Gómez ÁlvarezThe Mexican Secretary of Mobility, Daniel Andrés Sibaja, reported today when presenting a decalogue that includes a new Mexicable line, an electric Mexibús and eliminating corruption.
“We have the historic opportunity to have our own Metro system and this government is going to make it happen“, he declared, describing the project as “the most ambitious public transportation project” in the history of the State of Mexico.
During the presentation of the “Regularizing doesn’t cost you anything” campaignintended for public and private transportation concessionaires, the official said that The Mexiquense Metro is part of “a plan of 10 actions to transform mobility.”
Among these actions are also the renewal of the fleet, a single payment card for the various transportation systems, a plan to rebuild roads and illuminate them, an intelligence network for greater safety on roads and highways, a master plan for bicycle lanes and new Mobility Law, among others.
Subsidies for transporters
The governor Delfina Gómez called on transport leaders to take advantage of the advantages of regularizingsuch as subsidies, and to work hand in hand to “have a modern, efficient, inclusive and safe public transportation service.”
From the central patio of the Government Palace, in Toluca, He recalled that the modernization of public transportation was one of his main campaign commitments and listed actions aimed at achieving it, for the benefit of the Mexicans of all regions of the state.
With the campaign “Regularizing costs nothing”, Carriers will have access to different 100 percent subsidized proceduresincluding payments for possession, endorsement, debts, concessions, vehicle control and location.
“We have to modify and modernize all public transportation because there has to be better quality of service for users, it is an effort that is not only the Governor’s,” said Delfina Gómez.
In addition to subsidies, The plan contemplates the organization of concessions expired and replacement of vehicle units.
