State discusses panorama of dengue in Paraná with municipalities

The panorama of dengue in Paraná and actions to combat the disease were discussed this Wednesday (13) at a meeting between the Secretary of State for Health, César Neves, and the Council of Municipal Health Secretaries of Paraná (Cosems/PR) .

“This partnership is important at this time, especially with regard to dengue. We will go to the Ministry of Health, already envisioning the epidemic scenario, to ask for a supplementation of pharmaceutical ingredients to fight the disease, especially saline”, said the secretary.

No This week’s dengue epidemiological bulletin three new deaths were confirmed, totaling five deaths from the disease in the current seasonal period of the disease, which started on August 1 of last year and continues until July 2022. The state has 16,560 confirmed cases and 65,040 notifications, in 360 municipalities. There are still 19,051 cases under investigation.

Another theme of the meeting was the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). According to the secretary, Sesa will send a delegation to Brasília next week to coordinate with the federal government on the maintenance and funding of the Samu teams. This year the Paraná reached 100% service coveragewhich is a national reference in services.

ATTENDANCE – Sesa’s chief of staff, Ian Lucena Sonda, and the municipal health secretaries and representatives of the executive board of Cosems also participated in the meeting: president Ivoliciano Leonarchik (Mangueirinha); the 1st CFO, Sérgio Henrique dos Santos (Campo Mourão); the 2nd vice president, Odileno Garcia Toledo (Antonina); the 2nd CFO, Gislaine Galvão Inácio (Santo Antônio da Platina); the 1st and 2nd directors of Institutional and Parliamentary Relations, Jonas Welter (Capanema) and Roberto Amatuzzi Franco (Imbaú); the 1st director of the West Macroregion, Marcos Rigolon (Guaíra), and of the fiscal council, Wanderson de Oliveira (Bandeirantes).
