State Customs Committee named conditions for duty-free import of cars by individuals to Belarus | Economy

IN State Customs Committee remind that citizens who import cars into the territory of the countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union are exempted from paying customs duties.

We are talking about a car for personal use – objects of credit or leasing obligations in a foreign country.

Such vehicles can be imported by persons who are moving to a permanent place of residence (permanent residence), who have received the status of a refugee, a forced migrant in the state of the EAEU.

Conditions for such import are defined separately.

Thus, a car should be brought in from countries outside the EAEU no later than 18 months from the date of receipt of documents confirming the recognition of a foreigner as resettled for permanent residence, or obtaining the status of a refugee, a forced migrant; a citizen must own an imported car for at least 6 months before receiving the above documents.

Also, an individual should not previously in the specified status and in the same way import a car into this country of the EAEU.

At the time of release for free circulation, such a vehicle must be owned by an individual.

Decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 59 dated 06/22/2023 enters into force on July 22, 2023.
