State Commissioners Authority Recommends Accepting Appeals of Minister of Youth and Sports and Mortada Mansour against Ruling on Zamalek Presidency

State Commissioners Authority Recommends Annulment of Dismissal of Mortada Mansour from Zamalek Presidency

In a recent development, the State Commissioners Authority in the State Council has recommended accepting two appeals filed by the State Cases Authority on behalf of the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza, as well as Mortada Mansour. These appeals were made against the ruling that removed Mansour from the presidency of Zamalek.

Mortada Mansour took to his official Facebook page to announce that the report has recommended the cancellation of the judgment issued against him in cases numbered 70451, 70452, 70456, and 70458 of the year 76 BC. The report cited the demise of the capacity requirement for the plaintiffs as the reason for the recommendation.

Yesterday, the Supreme Administrative Court decided to postpone the appeals against the dismissal of Chancellor Mortada Mansour from the presidency of the Zamalek Club. The review of these appeals will now take place during the next session scheduled for July 8.

Mortada Mansour, who was previously dismissed from the presidency of the Zamalek club, stated that his appeals against his removal have a significant impact on the general assembly of the entire club.

The State Cases Authority, representing the Minister of Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza, has also appealed against the dismissal of Mortada Mansour from the presidency of Zamalek.

Appeal No. 101181 of the year 69 BC was filed against the ruling issued by the Administrative Court in the cases filed by the respondents, namely Mustafa Sayed Abdel-Khaleq, Hani Shukri Najeeb Gerges, Abdullah George Abdel-Georg, and Ibrahim Saeed Abdel-Ghani Amer.

In his appeal, Mortada Mansour sued the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Director of the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza, and the President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, along with the appellants of the case in which the administrative court ruling was issued, namely Mamdouh Abbas, Hani Al-Attal, and others.

Mortada Mansour has requested a stay of the implementation of the Administrative Judiciary Court’s ruling. He also reserves the ruling that the state court does not have jurisdiction to hear the case and obliges the respondents to pay expenses and attorney’s fees for all parties involved.

This latest development brings hope for Mortada Mansour’s return to the presidency of Zamalek, pending the review of the appeals by the Supreme Administrative Court. The outcome of the upcoming session on July 8 will determine the future leadership of the club.

What are the main arguments made by the State Commissioners Authority regarding the dismissal of Mansour from the Zamalek presidency?

Ent to dismiss Mansour from the Zamalek presidency, stating that the Administrative Judiciary Court of the State Council did not have the authority to make such a decision.

The State Commissioners Authority argued that according to the law, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza were not the competent authorities to file the complaint against Mansour. They also emphasized that the Administrative Judiciary Court did not have jurisdiction over the matter and that the case should have been heard by the Sports Arbitration Court.

This recommendation by the State Commissioners Authority is a significant development in the legal battle surrounding Mortada Mansour’s dismissal from the Zamalek presidency. If accepted, it could lead to the annulment of the previous ruling and the reinstatement of Mansour as the president of the club.

However, it is important to note that this recommendation still needs to be reviewed and approved by the court before it can take effect. The final decision lies with the court, and until then, the situation remains uncertain. Both Mansour and the Ministry of Youth and Sports will have to wait for the court’s decision on the matter.

This development showcases the complex and ongoing nature of the legal proceedings involving Mortada Mansour and highlights the importance of following due process and proper jurisdiction in legal matters. The final outcome will have a significant impact on the leadership of Zamalek and may have broader implications for the sports community in Egypt.
