State champions crowned in Hartberg!: The crème de la crème of dressage riders visiting Hartberg from August 22nd to 25th!

The sporting commitment and hospitality of the Hartberg Riding Club meant that the “Styrian State Championship for Young Riders” took place in Hartberg for the third time last weekend. As usual, the Riders Lounge offered not only a view of Hartberg but also regional delicacies and cool summer drinks from early to late.
With the support of loyal sponsors and the dedicated team around Günter & Susanne Weghofer, we have once again succeeded in attracting the crème de la crème of Austrian dressage to Hartberg:

In the open competition “Grand Prix” there were a sensational 9 internationally successful rider & horse pairs such as: Stephanie Dearing with “Auheim´s Roi de Coeur OLD”, Felix Artner with “Auheim´s Divine Etincelle”, guest rider Lauren Gold with “Sunny Time 2” from Australia, Chiara Pengg with “Dorincourt 4”, Isabella Willibald with “Dark Knight Rises” and Martin Hauptmann with “Beverly Boy”.
Numerous amateur riders from Burgenland, Carinthia, Lower Austria and Styria also took part.

The 2024 national champions were:

Mariella Riedler, multiple national champion from the Hartberg riding club “RC Dressage Group Styria”, from Floing, was able to prove her class and routine with “Latino” in the “Juniors” class and became national champion.
Julia Horky from the “Styrian Equestrian Centre South” in Stainz won two titles in the “Youth” and “Pony” classes.
The state championship title in the “Young Riders” class was secured by the likeable Lea-Angelina Jegel from the “Dressurteam Zach” from Lebring.

Günter Weghofer, chairman of the Hartberg riding club “RC Dressage Group Styria” was also very pleased with the performance of his protégés in the open competitions:

Congratulations go to Tamara Haas from Pöllau. She competed in the “LM/LP” class for the first time in Hartberg with her stallion “Gerantino Salva” and was already able to achieve impressive scores.
Kora Peinsipp from Hartberg also took part in a LM test for the first time with her gelding “Daedalus”. The elegant pair presented themselves well and achieved the first performance points to advance their license.
Paula Wagenhofer from Pöllau started with 2 horses: pony gelding “Henry Danger”, taking part in an L-test for the first time at the home tournament. This made trainer Susanne Weghofer very happy. With “Auheim’s Donna Rosaria”, Paula was able to gain another performance point to improve her license ranking,
Mariella Riedler, multiple national champion from the Hartberg riding club “RC Dressage Group Styria”, from Floing, was able to prove her class and routine with “Latino” in the “Juniors” class and became national champion.

The Hartberg Riding Club has a bit of a routine, because “10 years of Hartberg horse riding tournament” leaves behind a lot of experience, but the thrill of the preparations gives us the drive to organize a successful event for Hartberg. So we are already looking forward to the highlight of the season: the very last outdoor horse riding tournament for 2024 from September 27th to 29th here in Hartberg.
