Prior to joining Starz, Kalle was a senior advisor to several media companies, guiding them in SVOD international strategy, digital operations, restructuring, and global business development. Major clients included Starz, Lionsgate and CBS / Showtime. He was 16 years in Sony Pictures Television (SPT), where he served as SVP and general manager of Networks: there he supervised the company’s television channel portfolio and capital investments in the USA and Canada. For the USA, he launched and served as general manager of Sony’s wholly owned networks, Sony Movie Channel, SPT’s first multiplatform television network; Cine Sony Television, SPT’s Spanish-language film network; Y getTV, the company’s first digital sub-channel dedicated to classic programming. In Canada, he oversaw the SPT partnership with Hollywood Suite, which bore the mark Sony Movie Channel.
Prior to his domestic role at Sony, he was SVP of International Networks and held various positions on the board of directors of SPT’s television networks business in India, Japan and all of Asia. Kalle also previously served as SPT’s Vice President of International Networks. Joined SPT from parent company Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), where she served as vice president of corporate development. He joined SPE as Corporate Development Manager in 1999. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of StarzPlay ArabiaShe is also the director of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and on the Board of Directors of Woodbury University.
