Camacho should act in a “new” role under the command of Fábio Carille in Santos.
With coach Fernando Diniz, enthusiastic about his hiring, Camacho was the first man in midfield and responsible for the ball out of defense.
With Carille at Corinthians, Camacho was often a reserve and entered more advanced, in his original position. He played in the second row of four in 4-1-4-1 or behind the wheel (usually Gabriel) in 4-2-3-1. The new coach of Peixe defended Camacho’s creativity and good passing at various times and even used him as a midfielder.
The problem for Santos is that there is no defensive midfielder in the squad besides Vinicius Balieiro. Fish is on the market to bring an athlete of these characteristics. With Diniz, Ivonei or Jean Mota were chosen as replacements for Camacho.
Camacho is 31 years old and his contract at Santos runs until December 2022. He has already played 19 games for Peixe this season.
