Jakarta, CNBC IndonesiaBank Indonesia (BI) make temporary adjustments to the maximum nominal value limit for cash withdrawals for ATM card holders with chip technology. The determination will be made from July 12, 2021 to September 30, 2021.

“This is done in order to support the Government’s policy regarding the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in order to suppress the rate of COVID-19,” said Head of the BI Communications Department Erwin Haryono in his statement, quoted from BI’s official website, Sunday (11/7/2021). .

“Maintaining the maximum (maximum) nominal value of funds for cash withdrawals through ATM machines of Rp. 10,000,000 (ten million rupiah) per account in 1 (day) for ATM cards that use magnetic stripe technology,” explained BI’s statement in the FAQ statement.

Erwin added, to maintain and carry out the continuity of implementing public duties and services that prioritize public security and safety, BI continues to coordinate with the government and relevant authorities including industry associations. This is done to take collective steps to monitor, assess, prevent and mitigate the implications of the spread of Covid-19.

“BI invites the public to always implement health protocols by enforcing the 6M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds, limiting mobility, and avoiding eating together. And using non-cash payments / QR Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS),” said Erwin .
