The Linzer Kepler University Hospital is now looking for Covid 19 patients to take part in a double-blind study. 16 hospitals worldwide are involved.

For what is perhaps the most promising drug for the treatment of Covid-19, the largest clinical trial to date is starting in 16 hospitals worldwide, including the Linz Kepler University Clinic under the direction of Bernd Lamprecht, director of the Clinic for Pulmonology. In total, the active ingredient APN01, which was co-developed by the Austrian geneticist Josef Penninger (Apeiron Biologics), is to be tested on 200 people. Participants are still being sought.
