JAKARTAKOMPAS.com – PT Pertamina (Persero) again raised the price of general or non-subsidized fuel oil (BBM) for the types of Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex. The price increase applies throughout Indonesia as of March 3, 2022.

Pertamina Subholding Commercial And Trading Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting said the adjustment was made because world crude oil prices continued to soar. Currently world crude oil prices have penetrated the level of 110 US dollars per barrel.

Pertamina fuel prices will be reviewed every 2 weeks

In addition, the increase in the price of non-subsidized fuel is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 62 K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the Basic Price Formula in Calculation of Retail Sales Prices for General Oil Fuel Types of Gasoline and Diesel Oil Channeled Through Public Fuel Filling Stations. .

“The adjustment follows the global market price and is in accordance with the provisions of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the price will be adjusted.review routinely every two weeks,” said Irto to Kompas.com, Wednesday (2/3/2022).

Previously, Pertamina had raised the price of non-subsidized fuel on February 12, 2022, following other operators who had already adjusted fuel prices in the midst of rising world crude oil prices.

Irto considered that, despite the increase, Pertamina’s fuel price was still more competitive than other operators who had already raised the price of their fuel products.

He added that Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex are fuels for the affluent people whose portion is only 3 percent of the total national fuel consumption.

First and Pertalite did not increase in price

Meanwhile, for Pertamax and Pertalite fuel types which are more widely used by the public, there is no price increase.

“Prices for Pertamax and Pertalite have not changed,” he said.

The increase in the price of non-subsidized fuel varies in each region or province, ranging from Rp. 500 to Rp. 1,100 per liter. As in the DKI area Jakartafor Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) up from Rp. 13,500 per liter to Rp. 14,500 per liter.

Then the Dexlite with Cetane Number (CN) 51 increased from Rp 12,150 per liter to Rp 12,950 per liter, and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) increased from Rp 13,200 per liter to Rp 13,700 per liter.
