Authority United States of America (US) announced that it has injected more than 90 million doses of vaccine corona virus (COVID-19) since starting the vaccination program in December 2020. So far, the US has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 vaccinations in the world.
As reported Reuters, Monday (8/3/2021), the announcement was made by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Sunday (7/3) local time.
The CDC states that a total of 116,363,405 doses of Corona vaccine have been distributed to various regions of the US, with 90,351,750 doses of Corona vaccine having been injected until Sunday (7/3) morning, around 09.00 local time.
This figure, according to the CDC, includes the Corona vaccine being developed Modern as well as Pfizer-BioNTech.
Furthermore, the CDC reports that around 58,873,710 people have received the first injection of the Corona vaccine, while 30,686,881 other people have received the second dose until Sunday (7/3) local time.
The CDC added that a total of 7,389,102 doses of Corona vaccine have been injected in long-term care facilities for the elderly.
According to Johns Hopkins University (JHU) tallying data, US authorities have so far recorded a total of 28,991,680 coronavirus cases in its territory, with at least 524,987 deaths. With these figures, the US ranks first as the country with the most total cases and total deaths due to Corona in the world.
