Janet Jackson has announced a residency in Las Vegas. The singer is doing the same as Adele. The concert series is set to start at the end of December.
Music icon Janet Jackson (58) has officially announced a concert series in the gambling city of Las Vegas. The younger sister of legendary pop star Michael Jackson (1958-2009) is planning a total of ten concerts at the Resorts World Theater, as reported by Variety, among others. The first show will take place on December 30th this year. Jackson also wants to be on stage on New Year’s Eve. Another concert is planned for Valentine’s Day 2025.
Janet Jackson’s return to Las Vegas
Janet Jackson is currently on her “Together Again” tour. There are three performances in Germany in October: on October 5th in Munich’s Olympiahalle, on October 6th in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne and on October 8th in Berlin’s Uber Arena. With her tour, Jackson is celebrating her 50th stage anniversary. She announced her new Las Vegas shows on Instagram, among other places. “It’s going to be a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to spending the start of the new year with you!” she posted there. The Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas has space for around 5,000 listeners.
Janet Jackson, one of the most successful singers worldwide with over 160 million records sold, is also a five-time Grammy winner. She is the youngest of ten children of Joe Jackson (1928-2018) and Katherine Jackson (94), the former heads of the Jackson clan. This is the singer’s second concert series in Las Vegas. She already performed at the Park MGM Hotel between May and August 2019.
