Starting 2022/2023, Serie A bans green jerseys

Jakarta

A league issued new rules for the 2022/2023 season. Serie A . clubs Italian League will not be able to wear the green uniform.

Although the new rule will take effect from next season, Lega Serie A decided to announce it one year earlier. Serie A clubs are expected to have time to adjust to the new rules in designing their jerseys.

According to reports Football Italia, changes to the rules regarding the ban on green uniforms in Serie A was pushed by television companies. They are worried that the green uniform will make the players seem to blend in with the green field.

This rule change also applies to socks and pants. If more than three colors are used, one of them must be dominant.

While this rule change won’t be a big deal for most Serie A clubs, Sassuolo may have to rack their brains. As is known, Sassuolo has a home uniform with green and black stripes.

It is not yet known how the new rules will affect the Sassuolo shirt.

In the 2020/2021 season, there were several green uniforms worn by Serie A clubs. One of them is Lazio’s away uniform which has a neon green color.
