Start-ups can knock on emergency aid up to 2 million | from Wednesday NOW

Start-ups and so-called scale-ups can approach the government from Wednesday for the Corona Bridging Loan. The scheme is intended to support young companies that have been affected by the coronavirus. In total, 100 million euros in loans have been made available.

The loans, which will be issued through the Regional Development Companies (ROMs), vary between 50,000 and 2 million euros and come with a fixed interest rate of 3 percent. For amounts above 250,000 euros, 25 percent co-financing is expected from shareholders or other investors.

“Start-ups and scale-ups are of great importance for the future of our economy and our society: they provide tomorrow’s income and jobs and contribute with their innovative products and services to solving global challenges – such as the corona crisis “, writes State Secretary Mona Keijzer of Economic Affairs and Climate.
