Registration for people over 30 interested in getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is open from the night of this Monday on the page https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx/index.php of the Ministry of Health.
To register, you need:
- Enter your CURP or they consulted ein case you do not know it or do not have it on hand.
- Select the option “I want to be vaccinated”. In case the data does not match, press “Return” and confirm the CURP data that you entered.
- Select the entity and municipality where you are currently living. It does not matter if this address does not match that of your identification, the important thing is to know where you are currently located to register at your nearest vaccination center.
- Add the zip code if you know it. And, to contact you, one or more phone numbers and emails from you or family members. In contact notes you can add more details such as the time you prefer us to call you or if the telephone number belongs to a family member or friend.
- Click on “Submit” and “Voucher.” In case of having had an error, select the option: “In case of error, request clarification call”, fill in the requested fields and click “Send”.
- Once you have registered, wait for the call from the Secretariat staff. It will provide you with the date and place where you can go to get vaccinated.
Slow pace
The rate of vaccination in Mexico has dropped after the elections intermission on June 6. In the three weeks prior to election day, the figures showed an upward trend; However, after this date, the application of doses has registered a decrease, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
The maximum peak so far was reached the first week of June, precisely on the eve of election day. On Thursday June 3, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported that, a day before, they had applied more than a million doses. So far, however, one million inoculations have not been exceeded.
