The Saudi Ministry of Health revealed the start of registration for Saudi citizens and residents to obtain the new Corona virus vaccine, today, Tuesday, through the “My Health” application link that it published on its website.
The Ministry of Health indicated that vaccination with the Corona vaccine will take place through three stages, and each stage will have a category that has priority in taking the vaccine, stressing that the vaccination will be free for all.
She explained that the target group in the first stage are the elderly who are over 65 years old, and those in the profession most vulnerable to infection, in addition to people who are obese (have a body mass of 40), and those who have immunodeficiency (organ transplantation, and those who take medications. Immunosuppressed), as well as those who suffer from two or more chronic diseases (asthma, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, chronic heart disease which includes coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and those who have had a previous stroke).
While all citizens and residents of the Kingdom who wish to receive the vaccine receive the vaccine in the third stage of vaccination.
The Saudi Ministry of Health indicated the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, given that it passes the clinical testing stages effectively, and the presence of a strong immune response and continuous antibodies.
And the Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Health, Dr. Hani Joukhadar, announced, earlier, that the Corona vaccine will arrive in the Kingdom within the next few days, after approval of the registration of the “Pfizer-Biontech” vaccine against the Corona virus, which allows the possibility of importing it and using it.
