For a long time, fans and those responsible for SpVgg Bayreuth were looking forward to the torture. On Friday, just before 2 p.m., white smoke finally rose from the DFB at Kennedyallee 274 in Frankfurt am Main: The third division schedule was finally there and from the perspective of the old town it did what people had hoped for: at the start on July 23rd an away game with a well-known opponent – nothing else is second division relegated FC Ingolstadt – and a feasible draw for the home premiere on August 6th with SC Freiburg II.
