Start date for the 3rd season of the FX Dramedy

On Thursday, March 24th, 2022, the American cable broadcaster FX can finally present the third season of Atlanta after a break of almost four years. Ten new episodes of the multiple Emmy award-winning dramedy by and with Donald Glover are on the agenda. A fourth season was also waved through in advance. Just in time for Halloween, the first scary teaser trailer for the sequel was released (we reported).

This time Atlanta is moving from Georgia to Europe. In the season two finale, music manager Earn (Glover) and his cousin and hip-hop star Al aka Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry) went on a tour of the old world with Clark County (RJ Walker). Most of the new season is now playing there. Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) also traveled with them. In addition to the feeling of stranger, the question of how the main characters deal with their new success is also at the center. Because the tour is a real hit!

Season three of Atlanta was originally scheduled to go on air in January 2021. The pandemic caused a delay with the first lockdown, which at least made it possible for Glover and the like to write the script for the season after next. But then, according to the station boss John Landgraf, some of the actors were not available, which caused further delays in the schedule.

Atlanta, which is available to stream on Disney + in this country, revolves around an unsuccessful but smart young man from Georgia who ends up managing his cousin, who is a talented hip-hop musician. Glover once described his format as twin peaks, only with rappers. And the series actually made a name for itself for incorporating strange individual episodes and surreal moments …
