Spanish media are expressing concern about Real Madrid’s poor start to the new season with superstar Kylian Mbappé. Two draws after three games are nothing that cannot be fixed, wrote the newspaper “Sport”. However, coach Carlo Ancelotti’s problems in giving the team an identity after Toni Kroos’ departure and integrating Mbappé are causing concern.
The lack of coordination between Vinicius Junior and Mbappé raises the most questions, wrote Mundo Deportivo. The newspaper AS focused on the fact that the Frenchman has not yet scored. It is not due to a lack of persistence, nor a lack of attitude or involvement in the game. “But in the moment of truth, Kylian simply cannot do anything,” wrote AS.
After three matchdays, arch-rivals FC Barcelona are four points ahead of Real. “Something is wrong with Mbappé,” wrote the newspaper “Marca” after the 1:1 draw with Champions League winners UD Las Palmas on Thursday.
The 2018 world champion has also recently experienced unpleasant moments off the pitch. Apparently his X account was hacked and was spreading strange posts. Among other things, a photo of Lionel Messi was posted with the headline: “This dwarf is not my GOAT.
