Oberhausen.
Surprisingly, two announced pop stars are not taking part in the “Pop Night of the Year” in the Arena Oberhausen. These are the reasons.
The fans are looking forward to the “hit night of the year” in the Arena Oberhausen. More than 12,000 fans are expected at the Sanges marathon, which lasts several hours, this Saturday (November 4th), transforming the concert hall into a cauldron. But shortly before the start there is bad news for some fans: two stars who were announced for the big line-up will not be there.
Old master Vicky Leandros (71, “I love life”, “Theo, we’re going to Lodz”) had to cancel the show in Oberhausen at short notice. The singer, who has a German and Greek passport, is ill and therefore cannot perform.
Hit night of the year: Michelle is missing in Oberhausen and Frankfurt
Schlager fans also have to do without Michelle (“Who Lives Love”) in the Arena Oberhausen. The singer’s team justified their cancellation with “planning errors” by the former management.
While Michelle is scheduled to appear at the “Schlagernacht des Jahr” on November 11th in Berlin, the guest performance in Frankfurt (December 2nd) will not take place alongside Oberhausen. It goes on to say: “We are sad and deeply regret this.” Fans of the singer expressed their disappointment on social networks.
According to the organizer, the program for the Oberhausen party will last another six hours. Michael Holm, Sarah Engels, Ramon Roselly and Tim Peters are there. Also taking part are Dj Ötzi, Mickie Krause, Ben Zucker, Nik P., Oli Petszokat (Oli.P), Stereoact, Olaf der Flipper, Voxxclub, Eloy de Jong, Team5ünf, Vincent Gross, Eric Philippi and Pia Malo (Pia Malolepski ). Quota.
Hit night of the year: There are only a few tickets left
The Schlagernacht consists of relatively short blocks of songs by the individual artists, which ensures musical variety. The indoor festival has been operating according to this concept for 25 years. However, the series used to start at lunchtime and attracted fans to Oberhausen on a Sunday.
The show in the Rudolf Weber Arena on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 starts at 6 p.m. and is almost sold out. There are still remaining tickets that cost between 71 and 101 euros.
