It would be almost impossible to name all the films. Everyone will remember the Casino Royale from 2006, where Daniel Craig first appeared as James Bond. Witnesses may recall a star-studded film of the same name from 1967, which, however, is not one of the official Bond films and was received very controversially.

However, both films use the casino only as one of the scenery, we will look at films where casinos play a central role.

Danny’s Companions (2001)
In Las Vegas, you can hardly find a more impressive view than the fountain in front of The Bellagio’s majestic casino. It’s no wonder, then, that when the film’s creators, Danny’s Ocean’s Eleven, decided which casino party of charismatic and ingenious thieves would rob, the choice fell on this Las Vegas gem.

This remake of the film of the same name from the 60’s immediately became a hit and made famous, among other things, the poker variant of Texas hold’em, which has since dominated poker games around the world.

A number of scenes from Danny’s Companions were filmed directly at the Bellagio Casino.

The then relatively freshly opened casino, which opened in 1998 and premiered in 2001, was fully available to filmmakers.

The main characters lived directly in the casino complex in luxury villas, the casino even allowed the staff to connect to their security system so that the filmmakers could get real footage from security cameras. At least 25 to 30 percent of the casino’s area was taken up by the filmmaker on each day of filming. However, due to the film’s popularity, this restriction paid off for the casino, but could not have wished for better advertising.

Casino (1995)
In 1973, the Chicago mafia sent gambler Sam Rothstein to Las Vegas to run the Tangiers Casino. Sam can double his profits with his skill, but things get complicated when Sam’s best friend and gangster Nicky Santoro is sent to Vegas. In addition, Sam falls in love with a professional cheater.

This is a brief outline of the film, in which Martin Scorsese described the harsh poetics of a city in the middle of the desert, where rules are different from the rest of America. The classic mafia actors Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci excel in the film, and Sharon Stone is well behind them.
–
The Tangiers Casino is a fictitious, but very clear real model for it is the Stardust Casino, whose activities were closely connected with the mafia in the 1970s and 1980s. Scorsese draws attention to this inspiration inconspicuously with a song called Stardust, which is heard several times in the film.

Robert De Niro is the lead actor in Casino, which is considered one of the best casino movies.

The scenes from the casino were then filmed in the real Riviera casino between one and four o’clock in the morning, so as not to disrupt the operation of the casino. However, the casino itself violated its claim by posting a huge banner reading “Robert de Niro, Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone are shooting a new Casino movie inside.”

Vegas Party (2009)
There is no need to steal the casino, people come to the casinos to enjoy it untreated and the saying “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” has its justification. This also applies to the epic farewell to freedom presented by the four heroes of the comedy Party in Vegas (Hangover).
–
The rough and incorrect comedy takes place at the world-famous Caesar’s Palace Casino. Filming in a casino built in the pseudo-Roman style did not go as smoothly as in the case of Bellagio (in one of the shots it is possible to see the casino employees in the background, as they argue with the film crew), but the casino still earned a lot of film fame.

In 2013, the casino said that the film’s two buzzwords – namely Alan’s sentences “Caesar lived here?” And “Can I use pagers here?” – are still popular with casino visitors. Due to the film’s popularity, the casino also had a number of film-themed slot machines produced, on which fans spent a lot of money.
