StarMed requests collaboration for COVID-19 vaccine study – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – The StarMed clinic in Charlotte is asking for the collaboration of the community to carry out the last phase of a study they are conducting with Moderna to test the effects of the COVID-19 vaccine in children as young as 6 months to 4 years of age.

They will give the vaccine to 75 percent of the volunteers, the rest will receive a placebo. The dose is already determined, it is 25 micrograms for this age group.

What they need is to have a higher percentage of children with this vaccine to determine what percentage of young people have any side effects.

Families who wish to participate will receive financial compensation of between $ 1,000 and $ 2,000.

For more information you can visit the web https://starmed.care/studies/. There, they can also be registered. They have until November 17 to do so.
