Starlinki over Poland. When will they be visible? How to observe them?

On Tuesday, before dawn, with favorable weather conditions, there will be an opportunity to spot a “space train” in the sky from our country. After 5 o’clock the Starlink telecommunications satellites will fly.

On Monday, when it was 15.44 in Poland, SpaceX from Cape Canaveral in Florida, using the Falcon 9 rocket, launched 46 more Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit. The goal of the entire network is to cover every place on Earth with access to the Internet.

According to Karol Wójcicki, the promoter of astronomy and the author of the blog “With his head in the stars”, the Starlinek flight will be visible over Poland just after 5 am on Tuesday. He added that the satellites “should be visible throughout the country.”

Will the weather conditions be favorable for the observations? Overcast weather is forecast for the whole of Poland for the night from Monday to Tuesday, although some showers can be expected.

If you manage to spot the Starlinek flight, share photos or recordings of your observations on Kontakt 24.

Starlink satellites

The constellation of Starlink telecommunications satellites is to provide internet access services all over the world. The aim of the project is to extend access to the network anywhere on the planet. The satellites are placed in orbit by Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

In the first half of February, most of the satellite group sent then fell into a geomagnetic storm and burned down, as recorded in the Puerto Rico video.
