Satellite connection provider Starlinkwhich belongs to SpaceX Elona Muska |, announced the increase in the price of its services. The reason, according to the company, is offset by rising inflation, napsal server The Verge. The company informs its customers about price increases in e-mails.
Acquisition of the basic hardware package for connection originally cost 499 USD (when ordering to the Czech Republic including transport less than 15 thousand CZK), now the price increases to 599 USD (when ordering to the Czech Republic a little over 17 thousand CZK). The monthly connection fee then increases in price from $ 99 to $ 110 (in terms of CZK 2,579).

What will happen to existing customers in the EU is not yet entirely clear. One of the current Czech users, whom Lupa addressed, says that he has not yet received any news about the price change.
According to The Verge, the new prices should be reflected in various customers gradually. Starlink also introduced in February more expensive premium connection offer, which is currently only available in pre-orders in the US.
