Stargate Reboot: New Film and Series in the Works

Fans of the Stargate sci-fi franchise have reason to rejoice. After several years since the end of the last series Stargate: Deep Space, new projects are coming from a world where alien artifacts connect the planets in the Milky Way galaxy.

First, there should be a new film, which should be a reboot of the original film from 1994 directed by Roland Emmerich. He told about the discovery of a stargate in Egypt and the first mission of the team led by Colonel Jack O’Neil to the planet Abydos. The film should be the first part of a planned trilogy, which should expand and deepen the original story.

Subsequently, the film should be followed by at least one series, which would take place in the present and would follow the further adventures of the teams SG-1, SG-2 and others who pass through the stargate to different planets and meet different races and civilizations. The series should be inspired by the successful ten-season series Stargate SG-1, which followed the original film and became a phenomenon.

It is not yet known who will direct or star in the new film or series, or when they will premiere. But fans can look forward to a return to the world of Stargate, which is full of mystery, action and humor.
