Starfield’s user review rating drops to ‘mixed’ as player numbers continue to decline

More than two months have passed since the release of Bethesda’s most ambitious sci-fi role-playing game. At release, Starfield received rave reviews and stood out with a record number of players, but now the joy of gamers from the release of the anticipated project has completely disappeared. The game’s user rating on the Steam digital store, as well as the number of concurrent players, continue to plummet.

According to the latest data, Starfield’s rating on Steam stopped at 67% positive reviews. The project has collected a total of more than 115 thousand reviews from players, which characterizes it as a game with “mixed” ratings. For comparison, on the day of the official release, Starfield collected almost 10 thousand user reviews, of which 87% were extremely positive.

Meanwhile, the number of active players in Starfield dropped to 30 thousand users. The game saw even fewer players this weekend than Half-Life, which had 30,431 players.

Also, user ratings continue to decline on other sites. In the Microsoft Store, the game currently has only 3.5 points out of 5. Players criticize Starfield for a large number of technical errors that are not corrected by patches. In addition, among the main disadvantages are the very monotonous gameplay and planet exploration.
