Starfield’s Steam Reviews Drop to 67%: Bethesda Faces Criticism Despite Warm Reception

Starfield’s recent Steam reviews were “mixed” two months after its full release, and the overall user rating dropped to 67%. The space RPG received a generally warm reception from critics and players, but Bethesda continue to be criticized for “empty planets” and other disadvantages.

For example, over the last 30 days on Steam, only 50% of Starfield’s ratings are positive. Players who have spent over a hundred hours in the RPG complain that Bethesda has barely implemented the spirit of space adventure, and much of the action takes place through downloads. Some have compared Starfield to games Ubisoft due to the “lack of soul,” but among the good points they note the construction of their own ships and high-quality shooting.

By comparison, the oft-criticized Duke Nukem Forever has had “mostly positive” recent reviews and a “mixed” overall rating with 68% positive reviews. The situation is much worse for Overwatch 2, which has only 11% positive reviews.

You can also pay attention to the SteamDB rating. The situation there is similar to user reviews: Starfield 67.24% positive ratings, and DNF — 67,27%.
