The video game calendar for 2023 already looks very busy and there is still a month left until the new year. One of the biggest games coming out next year will be Starfield. It’s a much-needed Xbox exclusive that boasts over 1,000 planets to explore, and as it turns out, there could be more.
The fact that in the game, consisting of 1000 planets, there may be even more worlds to explore, said Todd Howard. He admitted there could be many more than 1,000 planets in Starfield. The only thing that kept the study from including other planets was the somewhat complicated process of naming them and adding details that give each one a personality.
Howard also said the planets will move in their own orbits.
When Bethesda first announced that the Starfield universe would consist of over 1,000 planets, there were mixed reactions. There were, and probably still are, fears that the studio preferred quantity over quality and that, despite hundreds of planets, most of them weren’t worth visiting.
