It is clear that the cancellation of E3 2023 will not be the end of the video game summer that is celebrated year after year. In fact, it seems that the departure from ESA is the only thing some needed to continue with their plans, since Xbox already revealed that the same day of its showcase will have a Starfield Direct with news of said game.
When is the Xbox and Bethesda Starfield Direct
As we can see in the publication shared by Aaron Greenberg, the Xbox Starfield Direct will be next June 11the same day that Xbox will present its news in a classic showcase of E3.

There’s no time for the event yet, but according to Greenberg, it will be a “double feature,” so could be immediately after the main presentation Xbox and the rest of its studios.

After this tweet was posted, the Summer Game Fest Twitter account and SGF organizer Geoff Keighley himself interacted with the post… so it seems obvious that everything organized by Xbox will be part of the Summer Game Festin one way or another.

It only remains to wait until June 8 to see how much more has been added from the extinct E3 to Geoff Keighley’s summer event. On the other hand, Starfield Coming Exclusively to Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Game Pass on September 6.
