Bethesda has released a new beta update for Starfield. According to the full patch notes, beta update 1.8.87 fixes two issues that have been plaguing the game.
Starfield Beta Update 1.8.87 resolves an issue that caused space matter to stick to the player’s ship during space travel. Loading a save now removes space matter. Additionally, this beta patch fixes an issue where random weapons would not spawn in a new weapon crate after loading a save.

Please note: This fix should resolve any space issues stuck in your travels, but not when players have New Atlantis attached to their ships. A fix for this will be released in a later update. Fixed an issue where random weapons would not spawn in a new weapon crate after loading a save.
