Actor James Earl Jones has died on September 9 at the age of 93. Jones’ death was reported by The Variety. Jones died at his home in Dutchess County, New York.

During his career, Jones appeared in many film, television and theater productions. Jones, who stuttered as a child, created a versatile career as a voice actor and actress that spanned more than 60 years.

Jones first appeared on Broadway at the Cort Theater in 1958. Jones appeared in several films throughout his career. Jones’s most famous film role is probably Star Wars Darth Vader of the Empire movies. Jones also voiced Simba’s father, Mufasa, in The Lion King.
