Both before and after the launch of Star Wars Squadrons in october, EA made it abundantly clear that the game would never get any extra content. The idea was that the game would come with everything in one package instead of piecemeal and divided, but the fans apparently wanted it differently.
On Twitter explains Ian Frazier, creative director of Star Wars Squadrons, that the developer has changed his mind as a result of high demand. In the coming weeks, players can thus expect more news for the multiplayer part.
Everything will be free
Via their websites tells EA that two loads of content are now on the way. The first will be released on November 25, with both a new multiplayer map, several components for players to upgrade their ships with and a load of adjustments and balance changes for the experience.
Once in December, it’s ready for round two. In addition to more improvements and more bug fixes, this update offers two new ships. On the New Republic side, players can jump into a B-wing, while Galactic Empire pilots can race around in a Tie defender.
The same update also introduces “Custom Matches” to the multiplayer section. This has been a much-requested feature, says EA, which allows players to set their own rules for multiplayer matches.
Both updates will be free for anyone who owns the game on a PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
Just more content was something our reviewer missed in Star Wars Squadrons.
