At launch, “Star Wars Outlaws” was widely praised by critics and gamers. Only the stealth sequences caused some concern. Director Julian Gerighty has now spoken out about this.
Gerighty apologizes to players who found the stealth sequences in “Star Wars Outlaws” unfair or punishing. The developers will soon correct this with a patch. The release window for this is in about ten days.
Developed under the direction of Massive Entertainment, Star Wars Outlaws invites players to experience the Star Wars galaxy like never before in a unique story set between the events of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. As the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the final defeat of the Rebel Alliance, the criminal underworld thrives.
Fans will take on the role of cunning outlaw Kay Vess, portrayed by Humberly González, and her loyal sidekick Nix, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker (“Star Wars: The Bad Batch”), as they pull off one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. Searching for a way to start a new life, players will accompany Kay and Nix as they fight, steal, and cheat their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates, working their way up to become the galaxy’s most wanted outlaws.
“Star Wars Outlaws” was released on August 30th for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
